I am a dedicated Dr. Seuss Keepsake Ornament fan, and was a little disappointed to see that the Dr. Seuss Books – Collector’s Series - was ending with 2006 Fox in Socks (8th and Final). Then I was delighted to see the 2008 Horton Hears a Who! ornament. Only question is why was there a break in the Dr. Seuss Books ornaments... and why not just continue with the series?
Another question I often ponder... why wasn't the How the Grinch Stole Christmas collection ever turned into a Collector's Series?

Hi seussfan, Hallmark does sometimes end a series, but does not end the "theme". For example, the Crayola Series began in 1989 and ended in 1999 but Hallmark has continued to offer a crayola ornament each year thereafter. Don't know why the Seuss series ended or why the figurines were not offered as ornaments, but am glad we do have Horton this year, and am guessing there will be many Dr Seuss ornaments in future years. By-the-way...Hallmark's 1st Dr Seuss ornament was offered in 1987 www.hookedonhallmark.com/1987-Dr-Seuss_p_49-1387.htmllong before the series began in 1999!
