In the signing piece I recognize the nastaglic houses above the window. Are the ornaments on the tree modeled after real ornaments? What about the train?

The Little Window Shoppers Signing event ornament does include mini versions of three Nostalgic Houses across the top of the window. The mini ornaments on the tree and train at the base are not mini versions of past year ornaments. Eighteen Hallmark Artists contributed to this unique ornament...thus so many different ornaments on the tree. This will be a great complement ornament the very Popular Club Member "Christmas Window" Series!   |

I was thinking about this piece the other day, and wondered if H* has released any additional information about the piece. (There may have been more details in For Keeps than I remember.)
From the picture, it appears that the little ornaments are molded into the tree. Do we know if they are actually removable mini-ornaments?
What will it be made of? I thought I knew then decided I didn't!

Although the ornaments on the tree may not be specifically previous ornaments, some are very reminiscent of ornaments from the line. The little penguin clearly looks like one of Kristina Kline's penguins from the unofficial penguin collection. He even is sporting a light blue and purple striped scarf - just like the one from the left side of Chilly Fishy Fun, the one in the middle of Cool Treats, the one on the right of Snow Fort Fun...well, you get the idea! I think the artists did mini ornaments that would make you think of previous editions, but without being exact copies.

I thought I knew then decided I didn't! Hi Barb, This week I spoke with a Store Owner that will host one of the Signings. He tells me he does not have any info yet about the ornament, beyond the photos shown above. Looks to me like the mini ornaments are "molded in" and not removable, but I'm just guessing. And I would guess that this will be a cold cast resin ornament due to it's low production. Again that is a GUESS. I do love the look of the piece, and think it will be a great complement to the very popular CHRISTMAS WINDOW Club Member Series. |
