This is my exciting news for today - We just received (2) 2006 Longs Drug Store ornaments at the warehouse today! What a great find! This Limited Edition Hallmark ornament (only 3,150 made) was sold exclusively in Longs Drug Stores on the West Coast. (I had neither seen nor heard anything about this one before today - I am always learning.) It would make a great addition to a Nostalgic Houses and Shops collection, or any collection for that matter... Each orn is dated & numbered on its base! Here's a photo of the ornament:

Here is a related tidbit of information. In 2001 Hallmark released "The First Walgreen Drug Store", a 100th anniversary commemorative ornament. Like the previously mentioned "Long's Durg Store" ornament, this cold cast resin ornament is to scale with the NH&S series. This ornament was a Walgreen's exclusive whose release wasn't publicized or promoted. Here is a picture of the ornament.

Is the Long's Drug Store ornament also made of resin?

Hi Jazzman, Welcome to our new forum. Hallmark also produced ornaments that were sold in the US and Canadian Post Offices. The ones made for & sold in the US Post Offices were pretty "forgettable" (in my opinion)... But, the Canadian Postal Service ornaments were a very nice series of five. Most were colorway versions of previously produced ornaments. We have them listed as Canadian Postal Exclusive series on this site. Take a look..., www.hookedonhallmark.com/Canadian-Postal-Exclusives_c_78-1-0.html Here's the #1 in the Series issued in 2000 . It is a colorway version of the 1997 Santa's Mail (also shown below) . ..... I thought this series was GREAT, and loved how they used a "Santa's Mail" Theme throughout the series...hated to see it end! Perhaps others can think of other "special editions made for & sold at "non-Hallmark" stores, but this is all that is popping into my mind at the moment! Nicki

hello Nicki,
Jazzman here. Those are good looking ornaments, and it make me wonder if I can find any. At least the US ones.
Thanks for the info.

I just wanted to add that i have picked up 4 of these from a flea market for what i thought was a great price. As other people have mentioned i have not heard of these before i seen one on e-bay and would recommend that if you find them to purchase them. We all know there were only a little over 3,000 of these made and i thing this will become a very sought after ornament.
Thanks for letting me add this.
David
