Plug in adaptors for older ornaments into newer lights

is there such a thing as an adaptor for my "Up on the Housetop" ornament to plug into my new tree with different light receptors? I ruined my first ornament trying to make it work. Now I gave replaced the ornament, but do not want to go same route again. These lights seem to change every other year. Does hallmark have a source by which this can be easily inserted?
thank you and I am in a hurry, but next year will maybe have to do.
