The Drummer Boy and the Rocking Horse 1975 ornaments were re-issued in 1976. Is there any way to distinguish the 1975 ornaments from the 1976 ones? I can not find a Hallmark trademark or date on the actual ornaments.  |

NO...the ornaments are exactly the same.
However, their boxes are different.
The 1975 ornaments were packaged in clear "sleeve" type boxes with cardboard ends all held together (hopefully) by an elastic cord.
The 1976 ornaments were packaged in a box with a cardboard bottom, flocked formed liner, and clear lid.
