We recently received the following question:
I know 1981 was the 2nd in the series. but on the ornament where did hallmark put the number "2" on it ?
The answer:
There is no series designation on the 1981 Frosty Friends or the 1980 Frosty either.
Hallmark began putting the series # designation on series ornaments in 1982. (The little Christmas tree with the number in it.) Series ornament produced prior to 1982 do not have a series designation number.
Of interest...
The 1992 Fabulous Decade ornament was produced without a series designation stamped into the design.
Easter series ornaments have their number inside a little Easter egg. EXCEPT for the 1996 Beatrix Potter #1 Peter Rabbit, his ornament mistakenly got the Christmas tree stamp.
