???Can anyone tell me how to get the clock movement open to replace the batteries? The instructions tell me what type of batteries to use but not how to get the back off of the clock. Someone said there is a tiny slot to insert a screwdriver, but there isn't one on mine. My husband and I both have been over this thing under a magnified light & are really stumped. Help me if you can!

There is a tiny slot for the screwdriver, but it's not on the back of the clock, it's on the FRONT, right next to the clock face.
Once you try there, if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. I have this studio piece and it has baffled others in the past too!! In fact, I believe I answered this same question last year here!

Hi Mary, There is also a hole on the back of the grandfather clock. If you insert the end of a paper clip, you can push the clockworks out and change the battery. BTW...The Big Night Family Room www.hookedonhallmark.com/2002-Family-Room-Club-4013-pc-set41_p_6365.html will go well with the Fall Artist Signing Event Piece: Santa's Armoire. (see our Blog post today) Seems as if Hallmark may have to offer a SANTA'S COTTAGE to house all the furniture Santa and Mrs Claus are accumulating!

I agree I would love to see a dollhouse display for all this stuff. It would nice if other KOC event pieces fit into this Dollhouse style display make the floor with a removable piece which be removed and a certain KOC event pieces drop into the floor to make a nice display. The reason i say removable floor is to allow collectors who do not own every piece of KOC event pieces the opportunity to use the display without the piece
