Just wanted to let everyone know what I just found out! I called the Hallmark 800 number, to check on when my multi-year membership was up for renewal and some other questions and the really helpful girl who answered gave me the following info:
Starting in 2010, Hallmark will no longer offer multi-memberships! It will be one year at a time renewals, or new memberships. If you're in the midst of a multi-year membership, once your 3 years is over, you will only be able to renew for one year at a time as well. She said she thought this decision
came from members who were confused about when their memberships were due for renewal and this way, everyone will be on the same schedule for renewal.
Renewals for 2009 are still being taken, with those members being the last ones offered a multi-year membership that runs thru 2011. At that point, they will be on the 1 year renewal program as well.
For members who are currently up-to-date with their memberships, you will have until 3-12, to make your ornament choice. They are offering an incentive to get your ornament choices made. If you give them your choices before the cut-off date, you will get a bonus of 500 Gold Crown Points!!
There won't be a multi-year ornament this year (the free orn for signing up for 3 years), they will be offering a "Member-Exclusive Ornament", available for ALL members to purchase for $14.90. They will be only available thru ordering from the KOC, not in stores.
The new "Member-Exclusive Ornament" will be a First in Series, Frosty Friends repaint! She didn't have info on which one will be repainted yet.
Once again, there will be a choice of 2 out of 3 ornaments for KOC members. We know about the Windows Patisserie (Bakery) and the snowman who holds all the mini orns on his arms, but the third choice will be called, "A Tree for Three". It features Pooh, Tigger and Piglet around a tree and from what she says, it's "very cute!".
She said 2010 membership orns will ship, "May-ish" and the "magazine size" Dreambooks will ship to members in "early May". The forms for choosing the orns and ordering them from Hallmark will ship starting 1-19-10, but she said you'll be able to give them your orn choice over the phone, at some point after the forms are mailed out.
Dreambooks will show up online for MEMBERS ONLY to view in April and then at some later point after, for non-members. So we'll be seeing it online before we get it in our hands probably.
I asked if/when all the new info will be on the website and she said her info sheet said "the week of 1-11", but she checked and it's not on there yet, so it may be sometime this week and just to check the website later on, to see if it's shown up yet.
Needless to say, I was taking notes furiously as she was speaking and I told her thank you for the info and how happy I was that she had so much info already!!
