Another mystery we often get asked about are the colors of Christmas trees used as "props" in the ornaments. In a few ornaments from the early 90s you may find a particular ornament that can be found with either a gold tree or a green tree. The 1991 Classic American Car is probably the best know example. We can only speculate that this was a manufacturing difference. Ornaments produced in one facility had green trees, ornaments produced in another facility had gold trees. The color of the tree does not affect the value of the ornament. In another example, 1991 Here Comes Santa - the Hallmark images of the ornament clearly show a green tree - but the tree in the ornament itself is almost always gold.
