This post is also under "What's This" as we get this question quite a bit. "What is the name of the angel in Mary's Angel's series #6. I have seen Ivy listed and also Joy. I am a little confused. Please let me know Thanks a bunch Love your website Eva"There is actually only Ivy. The font used on the box for the ornament name is very easily mistake for Joy. Here's the pic:

Also, isn't the picture on the box for Ivy the reverse of the actual figurine?
Thanks very much.

If you study the names that the creator of Mary's Angels uses on all of her "Angels", they are all flowering plants names.
So, it would be natural for her to choose "Ivy", since Ivy is a flowering plant, just like all the other names of the Angels.
"Joy" is not the name of a flowering plant, and therefore, would have never been chosen for a nameof one of the Angels.
Happy Collecting!

I have an official Keepsake Ornament from Hallmark designed by Mary Hamilton named Joy. Was this a misprint on the part of Hallmark then? If it was so hard to read they could have changed it because the I looks like a J and the so called V looks like an O. ... like they changed the name in midstream. Also I dont' know any plant named Veronica or Snowball but she has those names too.
