Sadly, Hal DeGood 79, passed away February 23, 2009 after a brave struggle with cancer.
Long time Hallmark Ornament Collectors fondly remember Meredith and Hal as Pioneers in Hallmark Ornament Collecting. Their business The Baggage Car provided Hallmark Collectors with past year ornaments as well as volumes of information on all Hallmark Collectibles. They were truly the first "Hallmark Collecting Experts".
Meredith and Hal were profiled in the 2005 Hallmark Collectors Value Guide which was dedicated to Meredith.
Meredith and Hal were married for 54 years. Although they have both now passed away their style and grace as well as their contributions to Hallmark Collecting will not be forgotten.

Back when there were secondary market shows in St. Louis a couple times a year, they used to set up. I remember buying an ornament from them at one time. As I recall, it was the little clip on flocked bunny sleeping on poinsettia leaves. Can't remember the name right now.

Hi Ginny, That ornament would be Gentle Dreamer by John "Collin" Francis. That's my favorite orn that he's done and when asked, he says that's his favorite of all the orns he's done as well.
