At Hooked on Ornaments we get a lot of emails inquiring about repair for magic ornaments that no longer work or seem to be working incorrectly. We are unaware of anyone who repairs magic ornaments other than Hallmark Cards, Inc.
I did come across this interesting information on www.hallmark.com the other day and thought I would post it here as it includes a lot of helpful information.

What is the Keepsake Ornament return policy for defective ornaments?
For exchanges or refunds on defective Keepsake Ornaments, return the product to the place of purchase or any Hallmark Gold Crown store. This includes any current years UL-listed ornament, those that plug in to your light string.
Illumination ornaments are not Keepsake ornaments and they do not have a warranty. Do not send Illumination ornaments in for a replacement or refund, they will not be returned to you if you do.
For any issues involving previous years UL-listed ornaments with a 3 year warranty please read further.
First, are you using the right light string? Keepsake UL-Listed Ornaments -- those that come with a detachable connector cord. The consumer attaches one end to their light string and inserts the bulb end into the ornament. This provides the illumination for this type of ornament -- must be used only with miniature light strings. The amperes for these light strings must be no greater than 0.2A. Do not try to plug UL-Listed Ornaments into light strings that use larger-sized light bulbs. This may cause the ornaments to malfunction or overheat. Approved miniature light strings are those that, without modification, use ONLY the miniature push-in light bulbs.
Do you have more than 3 UL-Listed ornaments plugged into each light string? If so, the ornaments may not operate properly. This is NOT a defect. Too many special feature ornaments on a light string can cause lights to dim and/or ornaments to function slowly or not at all.
When multiple special feature ornaments are plugged into a single light string and one or more of the ornaments and/or light string does not perform as desired, remove special feature ornaments one at a time until the desired functionality returns.
Hallmark Keepsake UL-Listed Ornaments, those that plug in to your light string, have a 3-year warranty against manufacturer's defects. If your non-working ornament was purchased from a Hallmark retailer and it is dated for these years, 2005, 2006, and 2007, please mail it to:

The above addresses do not have replacements for 2008 UL-Listed ornaments. All 2008 ornaments will need to be returned to the place of purchase for exchange or refund.
Pack your ornament carefully. Write your name and address clearly on the outside of the package. Enclose a detailed letter with your name, address ( must be a valid street address, no PO Box, APO/FPO or non-continental US) and phone number and an explanation of the problem you’re experiencing. You should insure your shipment so you can be reimbursed by the shipper in case of loss or damage.
If we no longer have a replacement ornament we will request a Courtesy Certificate for the retail value of your UL-listed ornament and the ornament will be returned to you.
