4. Attach the plastic end piece from your light string's bulb onto the wire clips of connector cord.
5. Bend back the wire clips of the connector cord to their original position.
6. The connector cord plug end should now fit properly into your light string socket. |

 Tried this with my 30 yr old hallmark plug in ornaments ---DON'T. perhaps because of age, the thin, flat copper wires from the ornament just broke at the angle around the socket base when I tried to straighten them. Very, Very unhappy -- have no idea how to repair and I can't locate any of the adapters which probably was the best solution. Can't say I'll ever purchase anything Hallmark again!

I don't know if anyone still checks this, but the wires on one of my ornaments broke today. Since it won't light anyway at this point I was thinking about cutting the wires before the connector and subbing it out with a connector from another light set. Has anyone successfully done this?
