Marsha asks: "I have four Hallmark cards of Amy, Meg, Jo and Beth. Do you know anything about them??? Their clothing is painted to match the movie. The cards are just beautiful. They show the girls from the front and the back. They bend at the top, over the head." Hi Marsha, Hallmark produced collectible Doll Cards in the late 1940's and into the 50's. Several themes were used: First, From the Land of Make Believe (fairy tale theme) Then, Dolls of the Nations and Lastly The Gone with the Wind cards. About 100 different cards total. These cards were very popular in their day, and meant to be "saved", thus Hallmark sold a treasure chest as well as two different albums in which to place them. Value is affected by the condition of the card & some are a bit harder to find than others. They normally sell for $10 - $15. each if in very good condition, and are often found on ebay. Glad you are enjoying them, they are beautiful.
