With so many wonderful series - which one is your favorite?
There are lots of fans for Frosty Friends, of course! Who couldn't love them!
But my favorite - well, it's the Puppy Love series. If I were only allowed to buy one series ornament each year it would be Puppy Love.
Why? Well I've always been an animal lover and dogs and puppies happen to be my favorite. I rarely meet one that I don't like <g> It's also sentimental, a Puppy Love ornament was the first ornament I ever bought on my own. My mother always bought me a Hallmark Keepsake ornament each year, but when I married and moved away from home, the one Hallmark ornament I bought that year? Yup, you guessed it - Puppy Love.
What's your favorite Hallmark Keepsake series and why?

Rhonda,
You ask a fun question, and it only takes an ornament or two in subsequent years, and one's answer could change..... but, the series' versatility as a table decoration or ornament, and it's appeal regardless of gender, still has me in Here Comes Santa's corner in this match of who's your favorite... and the '83 Hand Car is my individual fave. I had always hoped that Hallmark would do an Indy 500 (open-wheel) type car in this series, so in a slight way, the 2008 club piece makes that effort.

OHHHHH with so many series and collections, narrowing it down to one is tough.
Guess my personal Favorite is Frosty Friends as it was the first series piece my son selected back in the early 80's. We didn't know what a "series" even was and didn't know we were "collecting" anything...but his love of the Frosty's proved to be a good choice!

A newspaper reporter recently asked me to prepare a list of the Top Ten Hallmark Ornament Series... I found it difficult to narrow it down to just ten..so I "combined" some of the series. The following list highlights some of the Hightest Demand ornaments we see at Hooked on Ornaments:
Frosty Friends... Hallmarks Longest running series began in 1980 and continues today. The #1 Frosty Friends ornament is truly NUMBER ONE with collectors and in the box sells for over $500. Nostalgic Houses and Shops... A series that is often displayed on wreaths, mantles as well as Christmas Trees nationwide, it has been popular since 1982 and continues to be hot today. Mary's Angels... Collectors have been endeared to these little angels starting with #1 Buttercup in 1988, and still LOVE THEM today. Puppy Love & Mischievous Kitten... Who doesn't love a puppy or a kitten? A little thingyer spaniel on a candy cane started the hugely popular puppy love series in 1991 and it continues to be highly popular today. The Mischievous Kitten series began in 1999. These darling kittens continue to amuse collectors today with playful antics. Beauty of the Birds... In 2005, the Northern Cardinal the first in this series seemed to be off to a slow start. That quickly changed in 2006 when the #2 Black Capped Chickadee was introduced. Today the Northern Cardinal is soaring, commanding prices over $100. Carousel Ride... A new series introduced by Hallmark in 2004, the #1 Lion was overproduced but enjoyed by many. Production was reduced for the 2005 #2 in the series Proud Giraffe causing prices to skyrocket. Today, the Proud Giraffe is very proud indeed as he sells for over $150. & prices continue to climb. Barbie... The 1993 introduction of Barbie in the Hallmark ornament line was the start of something big. Grandma's and Moms worldwide enjoy buying Barbie ornaments for themselves as well as their little girls and the number of Barbie's Hallmark has offered now exceeds 100! Sky's the Limit and Lionel... Plane and Train enthusiasts love these two Hallmark series. The Sky's the Limit planes began in 1997 and prices in this series often soar to over $50. each. The die cast Lionel trains are full of detail and are hugely popular. Star Trek and Star Wars... Collectors can't get enough Star Trek and Star Wars ornaments. The ships and characters are popular Worldwide with the 1991 Starship selling for over $200 in todays market. Sports Character Series... Name your favorite sport and Hallmark has probably created an ornament for you. Baseball, hockey, nascar, football, famous name player ornaments adorn many collectors trees!

Hallmark's Club Exclusive series, Christmas Window has become my favorite series. I like the different window scenes with all the detail and 360-degree designs. You can hang these ornaments or display them as a little village.

My favorite series is probably Snow Buddies. I just love their little faces! This has been a really well-done ornament year after year. However, Snowtop Lodge is a close second.

Hello America, I discovered the Ornaments when visiting New York in November 07 and went in to a Hallmark....O´boy I shouldnt have done that.. , I immidiately became a collector so I am surfing on Internet and ordering a lot from us It is quiet a bit difficult to pic a favourite because I love them all. All the Disney and Looney Tunes, but right now when Christmas is over and it is stil winter here in Sweden I must say.. The birds and bird houses from Natures Sketchbook and First Springsongs etc. As a Cat owner I also like the cat ornaments but unfortunately they are very hard to find.. Wish you a Happy Easter ! and hopefully my English is ok for you to read.. Kindest Regards, Helene

I had a lot of favorite series since I began collecting but lately Yuletide Treasures has been one of my favorites. The reindeer had such detail last year.

:)There were just the right number of them and they were just the right size. Just curious--do you distribute your ornaments all through your tree or keep the collections together in certain spots? Diana

I love so many series ornaments, but my hands down favorite series has been the one that seems to stay at a reasonable cost at the Hallmark stores, and that is Mary's Angels. They are all so adorable.

My #1 Mischievous Kittens & Cat Naps #2 Snow Buddies #3 Gift Bearers #4 Decades (Fab & Cool) I usually let my kids (teens now) decide if they are grouped together or spread out. Another constant (I guess you could call it a favorite) is the My Christmas' 1 -5. Each of my nieces & nephews have rec'd a set & the little ones of friends that I love like my own.
